In 2020, we were running a small e-commerce business. We had Stripe for payments, Auth0 for login, Intercom for support, QuickBooks for accounting, and a half-dozen other tools that barely talked to each other.

Every integration was a headache. Every vendor had its own dashboard, its own billing, its own support team. We spent more time managing tools than building our product.
